Coffee has always been a part of Edwin and his family's life and dates back to the early youth days of his father and late grandfather who worked on coffee farms in Oaxaca, Mexico. While coffee had always been apart of Edwins up-bringing, it later developed into a love and passion when he was introduced to what we now know as modern-day specialty coffee. Edwin had worked for many years in specialty coffee for several of the best cafes in the Greenville area. During a time of growth for his family, Edwin decided to step away from coffee and worked with his Father in their tiling company. During that time, Edwin interacted and worked with many people who had migrated from different countries to the U.S (some of which came from countries known for producing vast amounts of coffee and discovered that many of them had never experienced the fruits of their compatriots hard work. A single interaction with a gentlemen from Burundi would change Edwins outlook when he had the opportunity to serve him a coffee from his own homeland of Burundi. An interaction that has occurred many times since.
